Common Questions & Answers
How does it work?
Our body armor is constructed to be effective against particular types of projectiles moving at a predetermined velocity. A plate of challenging ballistic steel is used in the manufacturing process of our ballistic panels. The panel will rotate the bullet, which in turn slows it down and disperses the energy from the round more evenly across the ballistic panel while the carrier catches any bullet splash.
How comfortable is it to wear?
Our body armor is designed to be breathable, ventilated, and comfortable even after long periods of use. Only extremely high temperatures can cause a significant amount of discomfort.
What does it feel like getting shot with a bulletproof vest on?
Most people who are shot while wearing bulletproof vests will suffer from a nasty-looking bruise produced by blunt force trauma. However, it is doubtful that it will render you unconscious. Many people shot in their armor have been able to fire back, and in many instances have been able to neutralize the danger.
A 9mm or .44Mag cartridge fires a highly acute, stinging, and pointed pain that will most certainly hurt you for a few seconds. The heat may possibly leave a minor burn mark on your skin at the place of contact due to the kinetic energy and distortion of the 'bullet' within a fraction of a second. However, it beats the bullet entering into your body any day!
Is it legal for me to own a bulletproof vest?
Body armor can be owned legally in most countries around the world. As long as you have not been convicted of a felony and are at least 18 years old, it is not against the law for you to own body armor in the United States, provided that you meet the age requirement.
How long will it take to get shipped to my location?
For example, if a customer orders today, they would have it in 7 to 10 days.
What calibers can this vest stop?
Please refer to the ballistics test video on the homepage, it will stop any calibers shown in the video as well as lesser calibers.
Why is the vest so cheap?
We don't think the vest is cheap, however, it's priced just right considering the vest is not NIJ certified. We skip the NIJ certification and pass the savings onto our customers, providing you with affordable protection.
What is the vest made of?
The plate carrier is made from very strong cotton canvas, and the plates are ballistic steel.
